In the body
The cause is the same tropomyosin family of allergens as in crustaceans, and it is heat-stable. Adult onset is common and persistent.
Watch out for
Common in salted seafood, fish cake, squid-flavored snacks, stir-fries and stews. Octopus and small octopus are the same mollusk family, but Korea's list covers only squid.
